Ice and Acoustics
Controversial pop artist Bjork has used the latest Amina NXT technology to bring her performance to life. To create a surround sound effect whilst on her Vespertine tour, the crew used 16 Amina PA Panels to create the perfect balance between a wide variety of sounds.

The tour itself was a complex affair, with most of the venues being opera houses - comprising of instruments such as an electric harp with giant music boxes and a hamster cage! Previous attempts to achieve the desired affect had failed but front-of-house engineer Kevin Pruce utilised Amina Panels at key points around the auditorium which are lightweight, portable and discreet, so didn't interfere with each building or take up valuable space.

The effects played through the panels integrated with the main system to give an effect of real surround sound whilst keeping in harmony with the main PA system.

"I was absolutely amazed by the quality of sound"

Radio City Music Hall, 10-17-2001
"I just wanted to point out the sound quality on friday was above and beyond anything I've heard at a concert"
"Also, in what's definately a first for me, the concert appeared to be mixed in surround sound somehow... I thought at first this was my ears playing tricks on me, but... we noticed a row of speakers along the back wall. Matmos' sounds would actually LITERRALLY circle around
the room, from front to back and side to side. It couldn't have been more perfect."
