Following feedback from customers Amina have significantly redesigned the Solid Wall Back Box to make it easier and more flexible to install. There are three major changes.

a) The box is now much thinner with a depth of 42mm (down from 75mm). This makes the product particularly suitable for 100mm brickwork and reduces the amount work required and material to be removed during install.

b) The flanges on the front of the box have been removed to make it easier to locate with respect to the final plaster surface. This will also enable a better finish across the speaker/wall boundary. The backbox is now tray shaped, but has the same “submerged” footprint as before.

c) Predrilled location slots have been introduced on the back of the box to make it easier for installers to accurately position and fix.

All other aspects of the product remain unchanged. The new boxes are being shipped now and from January 2008 all Solid Back boxes will be the new model.
