By
30th July 2007 all models in the AIW range will migrate to
a larger diameter termination cable and butt splice cable
crimp system.
From
then on all products will feature a short length of two-core
2.5mm diameter high performance loudspeaker cable. This will
be terminated in a blue-sheath butt splice and will accept
cables with a core cross sectional diameter up to 2.5mm.
Amina
use a butt splice, rather than a screw or other terminal,
to ensure the input electrical connection, which of course
is embedded in the wall, remains reliable for an indefinite
period.
This
upgrade enables a simple crimp connection to most types of
loudspeaker cable used within the industry. This change does
not affect product shipped fitted with 100v line transformers
for the commercial market.
This
revision was made as the result of customer feedback and will
be particularly useful in large home installations which commonly
use long lengths of 2.5mm core loudspeaker cable operating
at low impedance levels.
We
look forward to seeing you at the show to discuss other reasons
for using Amina Plaster In-Wall speakers. |
